Does chirping + 4wd grinding equal bad DS U-joint?
Just as it says, my jeep makes a nasty growling/grinding sound when im on the gas in 4wd and all the time it chirps like a bird definitely coming from the front end, sounds like metal on metal and its getting worse by the day. Im thinking one of the u-joints on the front Ds is bad, just wondering if this a reasonable diagnosis?

yup, that would be your double cardan joint. you should grab a center ball kit while you've got it all apart.
