Unless u have the know-how, ability, and equipment, u will have to spend extra $ for the "set up" of any traction enhanced diff except for a automatic lunchbox locker (they are DIY, no set up). Remember that the "S" in LSD stands for "slip". I've installed 4 PowerTrax No-Slip lockers in various vehicles including our XJ. DIY in 2-3 hours.
The NoSlip is practically invisible under normal driving conditions. It has a tendency (like all lockers) to want to push you straight through a curve. Ease off the gas and coast through, no problems at all.
Ran one for a few years and loved it. Wife used our XJ as a DD and really liked knowing it was there.

I have the "trash-loc" in my turdy five. It's not too bad when you have both tires on the ground, helps when my friends and I do hill climbs but once you get one rear tire off the ground, it's as useless as an open. Avoid the embarassment of having to use 4wd to get off of a snow pile you parked on when you don't have enough flex to keep both rear tires on the ground.
