I am trying to install a rear window defogger on my Cherokee which did not come with one....all I need is the wiring diagrams for it if anyone has a book

I actually have a factory wiring manual from chrysler.It came with the 1990 cherokee that I bought last October. I'll look at it tomorrow to see if it has what you are looking for,then I'll send you a PM.

Hey, new to the forum, what's up what's up, saw the thread about the wiring diagram for the 90 cherokee. I just bought my first cherokee and need to sort out the headlight wiring. Fuse pops when switched on.

Haynes Shop Manual for Cherokee covers many years. Lots of aggrevating junk in the repair sections but overall on the plus side, has schematics covering wiring. I'll try and get a photocopy and scan it in for you JRay. For Chair Ro the headlights can be pooched wiring, check the multi wire plug connection, drivers side front of the engine bay, partially obscured by the air box, tends to get corroded. Also check for a burned out and shorting dimmer switch under the dash on the steering column, rod actuated, ***** to get at the screws. The green wires feed to your low beams and fog lights, if they look blackened, again check that connection up front under the hood. that spot is a known problem area. PS I ended up running new wiring for the lighting to resolve the continuing development of light problems. Funny how lights only fail at night.

I'd really appreciate as I do the advice of where to look for shorts.

my Haynes manual has a big section on wiring with a complete diagram for 82-91. I got mine off ebay for 6 bucks, its def worth every penny.
