1) What year are the injectors from the Neon "plug-and-play" with the 4.0 Renix?

2) Is there a specific engine? If so, which one?

3) I asked my mechanic about this, he said that you would have to reprogram the ECU for the extra flow from the four ports versus the crappy flow from the one port (to reduce the firing duration). Is this true?

4) A lot of people on here were saying you could go somewhere to have the injectors "rebuilt", my mechanic also said that you can't do this to the electrical injectors, but you could for the "mechanical" injectors found on diesels. What's your opinion on this? True, or should I call my mechanic a POS and find a different one?

 

Search for 703 upgrade. There's numerous threads that will answer all your questions. They can be cleaned and somewhat rebuilt, yes you have to reset your ECM. As far as details, search because I'm just now looking into it myself and I'm no expert.
