Default Do I need to deck?

Do I have to get the block and/or head decked before reasembly? They are both nice and clean, and even.

They need to be checked with a straightedge and feeler gauge.

I would most shops are gonna only charge about $40 to deck a head. Its well worth the money to have it checked and decked before reassembly.

I will have the shop look at it for me and hope its all right. I live in Norway and they charge 230usd to deck the head and 240usd to deck the block! If they have to take of more than .0039 inches they charge 320usd for head and 360usd for block! It is insane! They also charge 165usd to install cambearings(+the price of the bearins).
