Do I grease bushings?

installing new bushings for sway bar today. someone mentioned greasing the inside of the bushing or it might squeak. True? if so, certain type grease?

I've never greased them and never had any issues. But I assume just a lithium grease or something along those lines would work fine.

OEM bushings can go in just as they are.
Poly bushings have to be greased or they'll groan and squeak and you have to use Lithium grease on them. Petroleum based grease will eat the bushing.

Used oem and no grease. Everything went together just fine. No more front end knock.

Ha! Funny thing for me. The front end knock was so bad and loud that now its fixed I noticed back end knock (for first time) when driving to work this morning!
