The factory air intake is not too bad. It's set off to the side (not on top of the hot motor) and it's plastic (not metal) and takes cool air directly from behind the head light. About the only way to improve it (and only slightly) would be to move the intake inlet/hole completely outside the engine compartment.....but again, very little accomplished. Stay away from metal tubes, especially chrome. Chrome/metal tube is about the best way to turn a decent cool air intake (factory unit) into a hot air intake.......but they do look purty.
