I found a write up for removing it here on CF. Doesn't look hard, persay, just time consuming. At least then I'll have better access to it all. I might need to cut the bundle apart, but I'll rewrap it all when I'm done. I wish I could replace the fuse panel while I'm in there since mine had a fuse melt inside it at some point....PO never mentioned it....

I think it's on the other end or in the middle. I'll have to look at it again in the morning when I start pulling the dash.

Freegdr, he does have power to the flasher module. Sorry I haven't been around much the last couple days. Should be able to contribute a little more now. I'll keep an eye on the thread.
Can someone please tell me what is meant by "Terminal L"? I've not gotten much sleep recently which might explain my inability to find any picture in that link that identifies this Terminal L.

I think its a connector terminal on that harness connector for the turn switch. There's a black wire in the slot for L.

Yeah, I'm gonna start taking the dash out in the morning to be able to inspect ALL the wiring behind it, radio as well. Maybe pull the fuse panel out a bit and check the wires attactching to it. There's GOTTA be a simple reason this crap is going on...And it's laughing at me right now! Lol

So, got the dash off and apart today and started inspecting wiring. Pulled the fuse block out and checked it, but other then old grease of some kind, it all looked good. The melted fuse I mentioned was for the blower motor and there's a small wire with a fuse in it's place right now.
I was looking at the connector for the turn switch to the harness, checking the wires on it. They looked good, but I did find that if I move a couple around a bit, all the hazards come on and the turns will flash once. They won't again for a few minutes, but I've gotten them to. I think I figured it's a bad connector there. The green wire's terminal inside it (I believe it was terminal H) is loose in the connector.
Also, after I got the dash off and the fuse panel out, that frickin' relay block fell out from somewhere behind the dash. The one sitting at a weird angle doesn't even have the electrical connections where it goes! Anyone know what it's called and where it should go?

You weren't kidding. I thought you were gonna pull the cluster... and you did! I don't think I have that relay block in my '89 but I will look in the morning (it's raining at the moment).
A few things: I think it would be peculiar (but not impossible) for the connector to be the cause of this only because you plugged in a brand new switch and still had no blinkers. I will check the wire colors at the sockets and see if we can create our own wiring diagram for this. I'm impressed with your level of disassembly, the knowledge gained by doing this will benefit you in the future.

The loose wire socket is on the harness side, so I think that may be why it didn't do anything with the new switch. It's the green right next to the red/black wire. It seems if I move any of the ones there, it works for a moment, but only a moment

It's the harness side for sure, but I don't see the red and black wire in the picture. I know there's a green right next to it. Yours might be different then mine?

Well, got the signals working again! Went to the JY and got the connector for the harness side. I did have to put a differnent kind of fuse in, but they work. Now for some reason, after i drive it and turn the key off, all the power goes away. Turning the key back on does nothing. What might cause that?
