HERE is a good write-up with pictures to show how to index the distributor (get it lined up properly). It explains with pictures what I mean by 0* and TDC (top dead center).
However if you PM me with your email address I can send you a better write-up in PDF form that I put together from stuff I found online with illustrations, and also a couple pictures I snapped of how the distributor should be lined up when you are finished.
