i looked it up autozones part numbers are the same for the dist but both come with out module the number for those are different

in 91 they changed the pick up coil thats the proper name for it the plug is oval in 89 it was round there is also two different pick up coils used with the oval plug if that is the dist that cmae with the xj and is with it ecm get a new one

yes the one that matches they year vechicle and it ecm there all different the reason your having this problem is no spark correct

then the dist is working if you have spark at the plug wires

Which rings round to the no start. Which I can only think of the CKP, Crank sensor, I have low resistance, which according to AllData, is a bad CKP. But i'm getting spark, so WTF.

Yes, Although I dont hold residual pressure at the rail.

Leak down & compression tests both checked out too. ASD relay in good shape, so is Fuel pump relay.

pressure will drop back off when not cranking or running

the things need for a motor to run are fuel,air,spark,proper firing order and proper valve timing youve eliminated 3 of the five

Firing order is correct. I know that for a fact. So I'm gonna pull the valve cover, and see if when on TDC #1, I'm on compression or 180 out.
