Will I notice any difference if I swap in a new distributor, wires, and plugs in my jeep...it has 237k miles and im prettty sure they have never been swapped out. I figured since im doing the 703 swap I would do this also if its worth while. Im posting this to hear ACTUAL experience from others with high mileage 4.0s, I dont mean to rude but dont want to see, go search or anything, I want to hear YOUR experience. Thanks!!

Also, if you had a good noticeable difference, can you write down your parts you used as well, so I can compare them all price and performance wise. Thanks!

my Dad's old 1989 Jeep had something around the same thing you have aaround 210k and never had anything changed... the plugs didnt want to come out ... he changed a few things... he used all oem mopar replacement parts for wires coil etc replacement and champion plugs..but he got the top of the line brass cap and rotor from i think it was napa mopar did not offer brass cap and rotor... it smooth out the idle.. and got better gas mileage.. after that he changed the o2 Sensor and brought a mopar 02 sensor and he got a noticeable difference in better gas mileage... I know its not a Ho motor but its still a 4.0 hope this helps you out

I don't swap out a distributor itself unless symptoms point directly to it. Many distributors will last the life of the vehicle.
However, tuneup hardware MUST be replaced periodically. It won't last forever. I go 30k on my Champion copper plugs, and 60k on plug wires, distributor cap and rotor. Gap new plugs to .035. And brass contacts on the cap and rotor are absolutely better than cheaper aluminum contacts. Well worth the few extra bucks. Ask for them at the parts store. For instance, Napa has two lines of secondary ignition products. The baseline products have aluminum, the premium level have brass.

My 99 isn't high mileage (157k), but I swapped out the OE cap, rotor, plugs, and wires for the ACCEL tune-up kit ($70) I've done the injector swap as well and between the 2 (done at separate times), I have seen a noticeable difference in how smooth my Jeep runs. I will be replacing the ignition coil as well with the ACCEL coil and from what I've read and heard from some friends, it's another improvement.
As far as replacing the distributor itself, I would avoid it unless it's absolutely needed. The distributor will usually last for the life of the vehicle as long as proper maintenance is done to the smaller hardware (cap, rotor, etc).

Sorry i meant cap and rotor
....So that 70$ kit is what I should go with or should I go to the parts store and ask for the best of what they got?

Yes I will but I mean the 70$ kit RDPLZ was talking about. He said he used that and had good results, so I was wondering if I should go with that kit or just go to napa and get their top of the line?
