Default Disconnecting Anti-Lock Brakes

Is there anyway to simply completly turn off/disconnect the ABS system? Mine will randomly act up and this winter it will probably kill me if it keeps acting up. I also hate ABS, so instead of finding the problem (I'm guessing a bad sensor in one of the wheels) I would prefer to just disable it and have normal brakes. Anyone ever do this? Can it be done?

Thanks,
Jon

pull the fuse. Your warning light may stay on but your ABS will be disabled

I wouldn't cut the wires. If you want to sell it later the buyer my want ABS for some unknown reason. You can just un plug the connection . The rear one is under the back seat and the front is under the hood. Just follow the wires back up from the axles till you find it. Then get a ziplock bag and put over the connections to keep them clean. This will give you non ABS brakes and the ABS light on the dash will be on. And the ability to connect it back up.

Sweet! That was very easy. I just pulled the fuse, still braking just fine.

Thanks, Guys!

Does this same principle apply If I swap the rear axle, just disconnect wires/fuses and done? thanks
