Im going to take all my stuff off and toss it. I pulled the fuses and have had no problems .

i just disconnected the wires under the hood and pulled the sensors and everything out but my abs dash light is still on so which fuse is the other one i pulled the one from my fuse box allready

You could just pull the light out of the dash.

Should have pulled 2 fuses under the hood a 40 and a 20 amp fuse. The small one is for thw light i think

There are two fuses (the 40A and 20A) like you mentioned and there is a relay that is clearly labeled "ABS Light". Pull out the relay and the light turns off.

Just did it last night and the ABS light is gone.

Just for personal knowledge, how does an ABS system "act up"? It's either gonna work or not work from what I know. Someone enlighten me please.

It was causing my pedal to lock up and push back. I could still stop but the anti-lock was going haywire.

Found a really fast way, just have your tire catch on the wires, shred them and pull it all the way out through the fender leaving you just a nub of wire hanging from the axle. haha

Haven't seen another thread like this, and saw someone ask if the same principle applies to swapping axles. When you swap from a d35 to either a 8.25 or a 44 can you still keep the ABS?

Not straight up, the sensors are different from what I understand. I was asking about disconnecting them when doing a swap. In all honesty I was breaking in my freshly cut rotors and didn't know my wire had been cut by the tire and I was mashing the brake pedal from full speed and never felt the ABS kick in. Not worth the trouble. Having discs in the rear seems to be more effective.

Can you bleed a late model ABS system yourself or do you really need to have it done with a DRB3 scanner.

I am sure there will be someone that disagrees, but I bleed mine like normal, have several times with good pedal pressure and no issues.

Well I'm pretty sure I have discs in the rear anyway.. And would like to keep the ABS even after I swap out the d35. So I guess I'll have to fab it up... Yay

How do you expect to do an axle swap if you don't even know if you have disk or drum brakes?
