Good afternoon everyone.
I'm trying to help my father who wants to run a Compushift TCU instead of the one in the that came in his. I ran the Compushift when I first did the TDI swap into my 94, but since swapped to an AX15. In any case I gave him a HPTuners MVPI2 with appropriate amount of credits to use on his XJ, but he lost it....go figure.
So I'm wondering is there a way to disable codes within the Jeep ECU related to the transmission codes? If so, can someone point me in the right direction.
I'm sorry if this is the wrong location for the thread. If it isn't, please let me know.
Thanks.

You need computer geek info. Try web searches for that. I said hell no & scrapped the tcu. 2 rocker switches and a toggle switch for converter lockup. Good luck

I did think about that as well. I didn't look into the later XJs since mine is a 94, but know with my XJ I could enable and disable the torque converter if I wanted with some switches (like you said). The Compushift works REALLY well, my brother has one for when we swap his XJ to a BHW TDI, but I gave my father my old Newcomer Racing Stroker and he currently wants to run that.313 HP and 333 LB FT on the dyno is nothing to scoff at, that's for sure.
Thank you.
