dirty IAT sensor

Default dirty IAT sensor

but not to the airbox….

has anyone swapped the location of the IAT sensor with the CCV line to prevent the sensor from becoming fouled by the upstream oil mist in the stock location?

I have not, but you could put it in any hole with the correct size or bushing. I don't remember that harness having a whole lot of slack though.

Yes, it's a common fix. People move the IAT sensor from the valve cover to a clean-air source like the airbox hose. You need a brass fitting and some vacuum caps. This stops the oil mist from fouling the sensor and causing driveability issues.
