Different size dana35's
I replaced the DanaSpicer 35 rear axle in my 99 Cherokee with one from a 92... the bell housing is bigger and the axle tubes are 1/2"thicker but it has a rubber plug and the brakes and drums interchanged... anyone got any reason for the differnt size tubes?

Post some pics if you can. The tube size did not change and it sounds like you went from a Dana 35 to Chrysler 8.25. Does the new axle have a flat spot on the bottom of the center of the diff?

x2. A dana 35 is a dana 35, the dimensions never changed. The 8.25 is a little bigger than the dana 35.
