First of. All let me say that my non h.o. jeep with stock gears on 33s is faster then every h.o. jeep I've come across..... with a little tuning an intake and an exhaust. Next the h.o. and renix have a different head. The ports flow a little better on the h.o. from thee the intake and throttle body are different aqnd I've heard of people with renix engines using bored throttle bodies making as much power as an h.o. with their stock head... also the sensors are different. The renix system uses a different computer. I'm biased but after having the renix with its loose computer parameters and simple tuneability I wouldn't want an h.o. that said it takes a little work to makr an h.o. work with renix injection ent vice versa.

I'm a sucker for a civic with a coffee can hangin out the back... I also drive a 66 mustang gt with a 4 barrel lol. Anyhow porting a head(long as you don't go overboard and you keep good port velocity) a bigger throttle body and intake and a freer flowing exhaust will increase your.mileage if you can keep your foot off the gas... second part is a problem for me....

You have a 4.0 HO. Jeep stopped using the badges in the late 90's. HO was introduced in early 90's and was used in all 4.0 Jeeps till the 4.0 was dicontinued. You can stroke a 4.0 HO, same as with non HO.

Didn't some have different intakes in later years?
