Default Diesel in a Cherokee 4.0L

Has anybody heard or tried putting a small amount of diesel into a full gas tank to clean out injectors and stuff? I've heard a little about it but nothing to much. Also, i am having problems keepin my XJ running when it gets warm. i'll pull up to a stop light and try to pull off, and it bogs down and cuts out. any ideas? or how else can i elaborate on it to tell you more.

I dont have any experience with sea foam but have heard horror stories. blown gaskets and coolant where it shouldn't be.

Just curious..did you run SeaFoam through a vacuum line/port or pour it into your gas tank?

what lead you to believe that it was the sea foam? I'm only asking because I recently used it on my 99 xj and have gone from 13 to 14 miles a gallon to 18 to 19 and smoothed my idle out. no side effects. just wondering how it damaged yours?
