Hello everyone like the title says I'm desperate for a 4x4... I recently got a 2wd xj actually my first xj and its awesome as a good looking daily driver but taking it offroad just leaves me with blue ***** tbh.
It's alright if you know what your doing but I rather not break it offroad and spend money to fix it since it's just a 2wd.
In the desperate attempt to get a 4x4 I put mine up for sale or TRADE lol trade for a 4x4 preferred.
Of course I'm not expecting to get a clean 4x4 trade for my rwd but I posted maybe someone has a 4x4 that needs some work and they just need a ready to go good looking daily driver.
Anyways I went to check out a 4x4 today and it had so many codes so many that I really don't think all of that is actually wrong with the car. I think it's one main issue causing everything. Maybe ecm or wiring?
Should I just avoid it? Or is this what I'll have to work with for a 2wd trade for 4x4
thanks! Also posted a pic of my jeep below red one. My rwd jeep
Does it actually run with all of those codes? Jee wiz.
if its in really good condition otherwise I would consider the trade myself. But if its rough or rusty I would walk away in a heartbeat after seeing all of those codes
If other than the codes the thing is rust free, perfectly maintained, reasonable mileage... maybe.
BUT, if the current owner let all those faults accumulate the thing is probably a wreck..... fluids low/not changed, , overheated brakes shot, rust etc etc..
Things bought in desperation are usually a mistake
Note on these sort of questions it's helpful to include model year, mileage etc

Where is this at? If it's clean and minimal rust I'd be tempted to lowball the seller and take on the challenge. My bet would be bad grounding to the engine block for most of those codes.
