Default Dent removal/fixing.

Alright dont flame on me!!
Ive got some dents in my fender panels they were bent in and then dented in the middle... PO had run into something that "crushed" the fender back. Its like.... when you crush a can you crush the middle in first. Which is what happed to my fender panel. I was thinking of just taking the panels off and pounding them out with a rubber mallet. or maybe heating it up and then pound it a little.
What do you guys suggest??? And i know, dents give it character but i will be painting it and want it to look good

What you're describing doesn't sound like it can be pounded out. Pound it out as best as you can and then use some bondo or body filler.
