Defroster switches?

Defroster switches?
Ok my xj is a '95 and I have what looks to be 2 defrost switches? One on each side of the steering column. Can anyone tell me what switch goes where?

Engine: 12 hole bosch Injectors
One on left goes to rear hatch. never seen right switch. the tranny power switch should be there in older models
