defroster only blows cold

defroster only blows cold

so went to use my defroster earlier and relized it only blows cold and blows alot harder when set to cold what could be the reason

it could be the motor that controls the door that switches hot to cold...mine went after my jeep went swimming one day

yea or the heater bypass doesnt work. also if you temp isnt over 100* then the heater is usless.

how do i go about trouble shooting this

Make sure the heater bypass is working. Have a buddy work the lever inside, while watching under the hood. (To see it open or close) If not manually close it, And see if heat comes out. You didn't mention if it was blowing heat out. when in heater position. or not.
