Defroster noises

89 laredo whenever I turn my defrost on warm or cool it makes this hissing noise while I drive not sure what is causing that anyone got any ideas?

The same happens to mine. I'm not too sure why it does that.

is it the defroster only? is so it's your A/C compressor.

It's only defrost I think ac too does it but the ac doesn't work

doesn't matter if you AC works or not the belt is turn the compressor. thats exactly what it is. now... next question. how doe you fix it. new compressor
