Bought my first jeep today. Knew the AC didnt work, but what I didn't know is that the blower did not change where the airflow gets directed, I can move it all the way around like to point it at the feet or upper body and it still blows out of the defrost. is it electrical or mechanical? It also makes a whistle sound sometimes. Any help?

 

Vent door are vacuum controled. So either have leak or bad vacuum motor, somewhere.

 

Easy fix? or something I should take for a mechanic to fix?

 

never take your car to a mechanic, always figure it out on your own, you'll save yourself mucho dinero $$ in the long run, and of course you get the experience. check all your vacuum lines for leaks
