I know this is a remaned 231 by Mopar. My question is in regards to the build date. Can someone decode it? i'm thinking march 9, 2001. Not sure about the 49 though. It came out of a 99 sport, but that already had a bunch of other parts swapped into it as well.

I thought it was a 242 can someone verify, this is the one that came in my zj when I bought it (98 5.9)

 

Moparoverstock says R2098917 is an NP242, was used on the 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 5.9, and the transmission was the 46RE 4 spd automatic.

 

What??? Really where did you see that?? I thought the 5.9 didn't come with the 242, so I assumed somebody converted the awd(249) to 4wd(242) ...
