death wobble after 3" lift
Hi, I'm new to this forum. I've read lots of postings about the death wobble and I think I have found what the cause for it is on my 2000 xj. I replaced my tie rods, track bar, and steering stabilizer. After doing so, it almost completely went away (at least is wasn't so violent I thought a wheel would fall off) but it still has a noticeable wobble between 45 and 50. I believe the mounting bracket for the track bar has been wallowed out (not at the joint, but at the other end). When moving the steering wheel from side to side, this is the only place that has any play. Does anyone know a simple fix or replacement for this bracket?
Winter is coming and it's time for new tires...My front tires didn't last very long and I think that the wobble contributed to that.

you could also weld a washer the same size diameter as your bolt on the front of the axle brkt......making the hole the same size it used to be.
if you drill out to a bigger hole, you will need a bigger sleeve in your trac bar for the bolt to go thru.

I thought about drilling it out larger, but the front side was almost 1/2" already and I'm not sure about drilling the bushing out of the track bar that large.
I thought about welding a washer on the front side as well, but the back side is about 7/16" and I can't figure out a good way to fix that side.
