Default Dead Battery-Ignition switch??

Hi All, first post, dont hate I'm no novice. I just bought this 97 Cherokee, it seems to have a multitude of electrical issues, no dash lights, 3rd Brake light, License tag light. However this new problem is killing the battery so I need to act on it, otherwise my teenagers are back to driving my Wrangler.

Long story short, battery just started dying overnight. Something I noticed yesterday when I jumped it was the heater fan does not turn off when the key is turned off, nothing else seems to be still on, radio off etc. Kindof a strange problem really, I can' think of any other reason why the heater fan would still work.

Anyway i am thinking ignition switch, any thoughts on if that is the logical problem, or is there another place I need to start looking.

Default Solved

This was definitely an Ignition switch issue, still having some problems, but with ignition switch disconnected overnight, the vehicle started no problem in the morning (After I reconnected it of course).

The major issues that led to the ignition diagnosis was the heater fan continuing to run after turning the key to off and key removed, which led me to think it was leaving many other unknown components powered and thus killing the battery.
