Default Dash lights stopped working

Hi guys. Ive got an 89 cherokee. A few days ago my dash lights and the lights on the shifter and 4x4 selector didnt come on when i went to go home from work. My headlight switch has been broken for some time. The spring inside of it that controls the dimmer has been broken. Well since i knew that was already broken i started there.

Replaced the switch...that was a PAIN. No change. Then i browsed cherokee forums and saw fuses suggested. DUH! I shouldve started there. Replaced the one 10 amp blown fuse i found that i dont remember what it was for. No change.

So here i am im a bit lost as to what this could be. The switch is new and the fuses are all good. I am not very good with electrical. Everything works except for the dash gauge lights. The brake lights, turn signals, hazards all work. So lemme know if you have any ideas.
