Alright so my fog light switch hasn't been working for a while so I decided to fiddle with the switch and now my dash lights don't work. Nor do the lights for the ac/heater *****. I've checked the fuses and they seem to be fine so any ideas what I could have possibly done?

 

Get a new fog light switch. I may be wrong but I think I remember that a faulty fog switch can cause your symptoms.

 

I bought my XJ without the dash lights working. I had to replace the headlight switch to get the dash lights working.

 

Search around in here, there are quite a few posts on Dash Light issues. Couple things: Check if any other lights are impacted, Check the dash light fuse, typically a 5A, Replace fog switch, or headlight switch.

Look up your wiring diagram to see how the light switches interconnect.

I checked the 5a fuse and it was fine. I guess I'll make a JY trip. Thanks guys!
