Default dash lights and park lights come on when I hit the brakes

So this morning I get in my jeep and noticed that when I hit the brakes all my dash lights come on then when I got to work I noticed that my parking lights come on at the same time. I don't have my book to look at the wire diagram has any one had this problem before it on a 01 xj any ideas would be appreciated. .

I haven't seen that problem before, sounds interesting. There is a problem with the turn signal switches that it will turn on the hazards when turn signal is on. I don't think that would be the same.

Possible rubbed wires or bad ground in the brake lights?

Do this simple test.

Remove both your tail lights and all bulbs from them.

Then check to see if the problem goes away.

If it does I am going to say that either your grounds got ruined to your tail lights or your sockets are full of water / mud / corrosion.

If the problem didn't go away then I would lean toward wiring issues.

That's the first thing that I did all the sockets looked good so when I get home I'm gonna go through the wires and grounds and see what I find.

Well so I thought it was the problem but come to find out that the plug for the passenger side tail lights is wet and corroded so I'm gonna cut the plug and solder it together in the morning
