I've read a bunch of forums so far i tore the dash apart to get the switch out i replace the 20a fuse it blows as soon as i pull the switch to turn on the lights any idea where to start digging into this i suck at electrical

 

Did you replace the headlight switch? If your still getting a blown fuse after you've replaced the switch, then check the ground should be located directly above the hood release in that area.

Could also be a short some where else. Check your trailer light hook up as well. Some of the other people on here have said that will short out as well.

 

i don't have a trailer light hook up and is there a way to test the switch baller on a budget lol

 

switch is like 15 bucks at autozone. i just had to replace mine as it took out my dash lights, park/tail. as for a way to test it i don't have any idea on that, maybe someone here has some input on testing it.

but yea they're pretty cheap at autozone. they're easier to put in than taking out i can tell you that. i spent a good 30mins just getting mine out.

nope nothing i backed into a tree stump yesterday not very hard though

 

I fixed the problem now how do you get the old switch off

 

nvm i figured it all out and its working fine again loose wire in the dash
