Hi everyone,

I have a 1989 xj base model. The dash lights go "on" but they're terribly dark. I cant even see the digits bcos its damn to dark to see. Ive been trying to locate where the "potentiometer" switch to adjust the brightness and i know its the headlight switch itself. But mine will not adjust anything; it only can turn on the dome lights and nothing else. If it aint this switch then where on earth is it ???? Or does it mean i cant adjust the dash lights on the model i have ????

Could be a aging headlight switch,Or the stock gauges are not that bright to start with.A member on here sells led light kits for the gauges http://www.onewaylight.com/1984-2001...ent-light-set/
