Default dash change

I have an 89 jeep cherokee that has the idiot light dash example for temperature it's just a light that comes on instead of a Guage I have a instrument cluster out of an 89 jeep wagoneer that has the guages but they don't read when truck is started bet they move when I turn my key on any suggestions

Did you change out the Oil and temp sending units for the gauge type cluster? The light cluster sending units won't work with the gauges.

Where are those located exactly are you talking about the sensors on the motor on the actual cluster

one of them is on the block near the oil filter and the other is on the back of the head by the driver's side

Yep. Oil pressure sender and coolant temp sender.
