A number of “DANA SPICER” axle shafts are availed on eBay. Is that “brand” different than stock axles?

Some of the ads label the DANA SPICER axle shafts as “chromoly.” True?

Dana Spicer may make chromoly axle shafts, but this doesn't mean that they included them as the OEM equipment. They may have been available as an upgrade (doubtful) or possibly just as an aftermarket product from Dana - I'd double check that Dana offers the product before trusting a random ebay seller. I'm pretty sure that the original axle shafts were NOT chromoly.
It's very likely that you can find the build sheet for your XJ using the VIN in a number of free online tools and that will tell you what exactly the OEM setup is/was.

Thank you for the responses! Makes sense now. A little false advertising in a couple places. Mostly not... buyer beware. Thanks again.
