Default dana 35 and chrystler 8.25

Is this going to be an easy and direct swap???

i bought a 1995 2 wheel drive and a 1990 4 wheel drive and i want to take the axle from the 95 and put it into my 1990

As long as the gear ratios are the same, 100% bolt in swap. You'll need a rear drive shaft from an XJ the orgianlly had a 8.25 or you could get your current shaft shortened.

so i would need a new drive shaft for both jeeps because the 2wd is going to be sold as soon as the swap is finished

No.. Just keep the driveshafts with their axles and you'll be good

i think the ratio should be the same they are both 4.0L 5 speed only differance is 2wd and 4wd

I want to switch this axle but I am not sure if it is going to be worth it and if everything is going to work perfectly since one is 2wd and one is 4wd

Theres no benifical reason to change them the older 35s non c clip which is better thhan a c clip rear unless your planning on swapping internals from a 97 plus 8.25 which will be 29 spline .
