No. The non c-clip axles are retained by bolts at the outer end if I remember correctly.

Glad I got the whole rear end then. I have the non c clip now but both axle shafts are bent and I can find any at the local JY. I have a spare c clip d35 kicking so I guess that P.O.S. is going in.

Yes.. there is a flange at outer end on the Non clip shaft that bolts it in. Further the outer wheel bearing is on the shaft on a Non clip axle, where its pressed into the axle tube on a clip model.

Is there a real big difference in the two axles, strength wise??? I'm just wondering if I should change the rear end or try to find some axleshafts. I have Alloy USA shafts in the non c clip 35 right now but I bent both of them. Don't ask me how .

The non c-clip is a tiny bit stronger and I'm betting you twisted the splines. Did that on all my sets of alloys just before they went snap. It's a 35 thing.

I ACTUALLY BENT THE SHAFT RIGHT AFTER THE BEARING, right behind the flange so I can watch my tires wobble as I drive.

Good chance you bent the housing as well, the 35 isn't all that strong to begin with. Out of curiosity how did you bend it, getting a bit of air time maybe?
