visual inspection.
squat down on the passenger side and look at the front and rear of the axle tube about half way from the wheel to the pumpkin.
if it's a vac disconnect axle (CAD), you will see a cast section where the upper control arm mounts that houses a vacuum motor.
if it's not a CAD axle, you will only see a stamped steel upper control arm mount that is hollow. no cast section, no vac motor.
