so i have a xj with abs gonna upgrade axle shafts soon hopefully now im wondering if i get shafts without the tone ring for the abs if its gonna mess anything up other than the abs, i dont like abs anyways so can i just do away with the tone ring?

 

I have driven the tone rings off of ABS shafts for use with non-ABS axles before. But with no tone rings, your ABS won't work. You already know that.

 

no it won't mess anything up. at worse, your abs light will come on, if equipped.
brakes will work as non abs.
