To add to the confusion, I put a formerly Detroit Quick Lock in my front axle, and it sucked!! I noticed it to be VERY noisy pretty much right off the bat, and it got WAY worse the more I drove it. The last trip I went on with it, it sounded like a dang buzz saw, and I knew it had to come out. Upon it's removal, I found that it had broken two of the four alignment pins...BAD!! I just put my spiders back in, and I'm planning on putting a Detroit Locker in there in the next few weeks. Just saving a little cabbage right now!! I have a Lock Right in the rear D44, and it works very well. It pops and makes noise, but NOTHING like the Quick Lock did!!

 

yep, shimmed my ez to within aussies specs and its still useless, its slipps completely (both wheels at once) and just makes a ratcheting popping sound thats no good for anything.
