I am in the process of going one piece axles on the vacuum assist turd. I need new axle nuts being I used heat on the old ones to get them off and the threads look a little a#$'d up. Where can I get just the nuts? Also, would anyone know what the thread pitch is? I would like to chase/clean the threads up on the used axles I bought before installing the new nuts..I searched on the web, but came up empty handed..

 

your info says 1997 or is this a new xj? M24x1.5 is the thread pitch, rockauto.com look up the year/make/model etc....it under brake/wheel/hub ...axle spindle nut

 

It is a 97, but the previous PO or Po's must of blew the front carrier at some point and installed the later axle along with the rear. So it is a little piece of this and that. Not the best set up, but I am trying to make to do with what I got for now. Thanks for the help..

 

the disco axles were used up till the ealy 90s 92 IIRC, wow I dont think ive ever seen someone put the older axle in.
