Local chop shop has a white 99 xj that had an engine fire. Im thinking about grabbing the high pinion dana 30. Is this a direct replacement for my low pinion or are some mods involved?

supposed to be a straight swap. At least from everything I've read on here and other sites. I think you may have to change the transfer case yoke if the drive shaft is a CV style instead of a cardon joint. You'll see when you get a chance to look at it.
BTW you might want to wait a few more than 10 minuites before pleading for replies.
