Default Dana 30?

Okay I have an 89 with a dana 30 front. It does not have an actuator for 4x4. When you engage 4x4 it only engages the transfer case.

My question is is there a way to put lock out hubs on this so that I can disengage the front axle?

Yes ,
Warn makes a kit that replaces the unit hub with traditional bearings. About $1,200.
Mile maker makes one also. (cheaper)

There should be a vacum operated motor on the passenger side of the axle that when put into 4x4 will move a fork in the axle to engage it.I believe it is other wise disengaged completely.
