The 30 should bolt right up to the front. And you have either a 35 or a 8.25 in the rear already, if u have a 8.25 than definitely don't swap in a 35. And when you are getting axles i would jury look for good exterior condition and the r &p should be in good order unless u are going to get new ones just after getting the axles

If you have a CH 8.25 already, then I would keep that one, or see if you can pick up a 97+ 29 spline 8.25... AS far as the D30.. I would def look into picking up a good shape HP D30... but if I remember correctly the YJ does not have an HP30, it is a LP D30.. If you can check in local pick and pulls and see if you cant find a newer XJ that you can pull the HP D30 and the 29 spline CH. 8.25 out of, that way you know both axles have the same gears, and the same mileage on them..
A D30 out of a YJ IS a HP. However, the axle is NOT a bolt in axle, as the YJ was leaf sprung. So you'd have to cut off the spring perches and then weld on coil buckets and possibly shock mounts and a different trackbar mount.
I'd recommend looking for a front axle or a set out of a '97-99 XJ.
