What are there for specs on rebuilding my 3.07 open Dana 35? I need to put in new diff bearings because the PO put in a new pinion seal and never tightened the nut to spec now I have noise when I'm on the throttle. My unit is a 1991 with the AX15 and 4.0, and it also happens to be my daily driver. At the moment I can't afford to look for a Chry 8.25, and i want to keep the same ratio of which I don't see a 3.07 ring and pinion for the 8.25. So that is why I need to know what the setup specs are on the D35. Anyone have that information?

I did a search and found this. >http://www.sija.org/bounty/Misc/D35PinionSeal.pdf
Go to the part for pinion shaft seal replacement.

Read this too. >http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f12/g...-101-a-623694/

It's not that I'm just gonna have to replace the pinion seal again, just have to setup the ring and pinion to get some more life out of them till I can afford to replace both front and rear ring and pinions with something more appropraite, like 3.73's. I know the rear u-joint needs to be replaced, but I always thought that they needed to be replaced when they vibrated or sqeaked, not make a whining noise. I'm only running 235/75r15's and I don't plan on going any larger on those anytime soon, but I have read from the other posts on here about MPG going up by getting away from the 3.07's. Yes, my MPG is not as good as I want and i drive about 50 miles a day, and with gas prices the way they are, i need to find loopholes. Can't afford another small car at this time.

Anyone have any idea where to look up the setup specs on a D35? Is there a place I can get a service manual online?
