that one was still good.... it still has needle bearings. lol

Is there a recognized maintenance schedule for front axle U-joints or do you just run them until they dry out and go bad?

usually until they either start clicking when in 4 wheel drive, or if you feel the steering wheel shimmy when turning.

best thing to do is randomly grab the shaft on each side of the joint and twist to feel for any looseness in the joint.
