I had heard of issues as well. I got mine from the Jeep dealership. I noticed differences between the NAPA ones and the ones that came from the dealership. The dealership ones appeared to be of higher quality and they were made in the U.S.A. The NAPA ones were made over seas.

No never bought anything from them I'm poor so I raid the junk yards and pick and pulls I got some here for $20.00ea but had to replace the ujoints with spicers at $40.00ea so I have $80.00 in both my spare shafts, and I got some TJ shafts from a buddy for a $100.00 with new spicers in them.

Aren't you kinda taking a chance using used ones? Or is this odd wear on the shaft not very common? I have a pick and pull here and if that's an option I would love to do that. I just don't want to pull it apart again and not have the problem fixed

I've never seen that kind of problem but it could happen I guess, I bought used cause its all I could afford at the time, idk what new goes for but I bet there more than what I give for two sets, most everything on my xj came from pick and pull or buddy's besides my lift I bought it new.

Well thanks for your help. I'll give the pick and pull a go and hope for the best. At this point I just want the damn thing to stop leaking. Thanks again
