d30 with 4.10"s
Personally i would rather get new ones if your upgrading cause when it getting it from a wrecker you take the chance of getting Something messed up. Band new carriers only go for about 150 bucks that the route i would go IMO.
If yours is an 84-99 XJ, the same year range XJ and MJ front axles are the same, and iirc the YJs had HP30's. 00-01 XJs and all TJs had low pinion D30's, so the gears are different from the high pinion.
And I'd just swap the whole axle. You can get a good D30 front for $100 or less, as long as its out of a 2.5, 5 speed XJ it will have the 4.10's. And that's easier than swapping carriers.
