Ok so my 97 XJ was sputtering a little more than normal one day, soon after I felt the sputter my CEL came on. Took it to the guys over at VATOZONE (autozone) and code came back as misfire on 6 cylinder. Well I had the XJ tuned (new dist., wires, rotor, plugs) within a 6 month timeframe. I used Bosch platinum 2 sparks and was told bad things about them. Went to Oreileys and picked up some Champion sparks and gaped to .035 like stated in the engine compartment and fired it up. Sputter grew slighter, but CEL is still on and actually blinked at me. While it was blinking I notice my oil pressure is sky high, until I left off the gas. Now being I just had it tuned (as stated above) replaced the sparks (Number 6 was crispy BTW) had my injectors cleaned within a 6 month timeframe, and had a sensor replaced (can't remember which one, but was causing all 6 cylinders to misfire) a new cat-back exhaust (including new cat) I am at my wits end trying to diagnose this problem. Any ideas?
