Default Cylinder 3 misfire.

The codes read p0303 for misfire in cylinder 3. I changed the spark plugs and, boots. Cleared the codes. A week later check engine light came back on saying the same code. Any guidance on how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

It could be a dirty injector.

Get some BG 44K and follow the directions on the can. It isn't cheap but nothing works like it does either.

I put sea form in through the air intake when I changed the plugs.

Lol okay I'll try it out.
What are your thoughts on it being a heat soak issue?

Does it only do it after sitting for a short while hot and then restarting?

The 44K is a maintenance thing. Just do it.

Oh I'm getting it as soon as the parts store opens! I'm all for anything that helps with maintenance.

Yes that, is mainly when the sputtering/rough idle happen. After a few minutes of giving it some gas it goes away.

So there's a factory issue you have to insulate the hell out of cylinder 3 you have to get a special heat sheild from jeep and insulate the hell out of it. Man I wish I had a link for ya. I just know because t happened to me.

Read post 8.. it has the part numbers for the fix that helps sometimes.

I found wrapping the injectors with heat resistant tape works well also.
