Cycle key numerous times cause flooding?
I installed some lights tonight and i ended up turning the key on and off lots of time to check for hot wires, ect. without start up. Now my jeep runs like **** and has a strong smell of fuel when running. Did i flood my jeep turning the key on and off without firing it up? What should I do?

Hey Aron. I guess some of the real guys are taking a break. You got one of the duller tools in the shed! I doubt you actually flooded it. I'd be curious about a leak in the fuel line. As you pressured it over and over without driving fuel may have accumulated that otherwise would have evaporated while you ran it. I guess the O rings on the upper end of the injectors might be something to watch.
I've been told by someone who knows Renix well that disconnecting the battery, then re connecting after a minute.. and re-booting the computer doesn't do anything. Sometimes my 90 starts idling fast and that seems to clear it up though. Maybe coincidence. Doesn't hurt anyway. Good luck, D.

So upon further inspection I checked out the wiring harness where it enters the firewall and noticed that I could see some copper wires showing. I checked this because the night before my cousin and i wired my hella 500s and that's where we decided to enter the cab. So my dad and I tore apart the harness and ended up fixing 7 wires that were defected 2 being completely disconnected. When we go it all buttoned back up I fired it up and it ran great!

FYI, cycling the key does not flood a fuel injected engine. it'll build up pressure in the rails, but the injectors don't open until you crank it over.
